SealEco BUTYL pond liner is the traditional synthetic rubber membrane used for pond lining for nearly 50 years. BUTYL rubber has exceptional physical properties making it the ideal choice for lining ponds, lakes, water features and reservoirs. Despite their different chemical compositions, SealEco EPDM and SealEco BUTYL look and feel the same - a tough, black, rubber membrane. The rise in the cost of Butyl rubber polymer however limits its economical application for lining ponds that require large quantities of material.
Butyl rubber membranes have been used for waterproofing on roofs, reservoirs and channels for over 40 years. The history of the material is a guarantee in itself. In contrast to plastic, a rubber membrane is highly elastic. It can be streched up to 300% without changing the properties giving minimal risk for leakage
