COMMERCIAL POND AND LAKE LINER SOLUTIONS
SealEco 0.75mm and 1.00mm EPDM Rubber (GREENSEAL) and 0.75mm Butyl Rubber.
Gordon Low Products are a SealEco Authorised Manufacturing Partner, this means we are fully authorised by SealEco AB to prefabricate (hot bond weld/vulcanise) pond liner sheets and water storage tank liners in the UK, from raw material rolls supplied by the Swedish membrane producer.
Largest Sheet Sizes
Our unique in-house welding and production process allows us to prefabricate single sheet pond liners up to 40m x 45m (1800m2) under factory conditions.
Factory seaming is usually the prefered option as there are both technical and cost advantages compared to site seaming and of course does not rely on appropriate site conditions, the use of trained sub-contractors or suitable weather for site seaming. However, when site joining cannot be avoided we supply many trained installers throughout the UK and are happy to put you in touch. We also hold our own hands on training school to teach the skills of site seaming techniques to landscapers and installers.
Our SealEco fabricated geomembranes are used for many applications including:-
-
Rainwater Harvesting
-
Slurry Lagoons
-
Water Tank Liners
-
Attenuation Ponds
-
PondGard™ EPDM
1.02 mm Firestone EPDM membrane specifically designed for commercial pond applications.
Firestone PondGard EPDM is the material of choice for various lining applications:
- Artificial lakes
- Golf course water features
- Commercial decorative ponds
- Residential decorative ponds
- Reflection ponds
- Streams, waterfalls and fountains
- Swimming ponds
- Natural swimming pools
- Leisure park water features
Because of its specific formulation and production process, the Firestone PondGard EPDM membrane is guaranteed to be compatible with aquatic life in accordance with testing reports published by the Water Research Centre in the UK.
We hold stocks of most roll sizes from 2.44m x 30.48m up to 15.24m x 30.48m. Larger projects or unusual shapes are accommodated by joining sheets on site using the Firestone QuickSeam splicing system.
We are Firestone GeoGard™ distributor for the UK and carry stock of 15.24m (50ft) wide x 30.48m (100ft) rolls. This 1.10mm EPDM heavy duty rubber geomembrane is a popular choice for commercial applications.
Firestone GeoGard™ EPDM membrane, a high-performing rubber liner
Firestone GeoGard™ EPDM membranes offer dependable performance for irrigation reservoirs, canals, aquaculture, dung pits, landfill covers, waste water reservoirs, constructed wetlands, artificial snow reservoirs, stormwater reservoirs, fire reservoirs and decorative ponds.
The main component of Firestone Lining Systems is Firestone GeoGard™ EPDM, a single-ply synthetic rubber waterproofing membrane made of ethylene – propylene – diene terpolymer, mixed with carbon black, curing agents and processing aids. It is calendered into large sheets and vulcanized.
Key features and benefits
The success of Firestone GeoGard EPDM membranes can be attributed to their unique combination of benefits:
Superior weathering resistance: Firestone GeoGard EPDM membranes offer unmatched resistance to ultraviolet radiation and ozone.
High flexibility: Firestone GeoGard EPDM membranes remain highly flexible at very low temperatures (down to –45 °C) even after several decades of exposure, enabling year round installation in a variety of climates and terrain.
High elastic elongation: Firestone GeoGard EPDM membranes can elongate over 300%, which enables the membrane to stretch and conform to objects in the substrate and unavoidable ground movements.
Quick and easy installation: Firestone GeoGard EPDM membranes are available in large seamless panel sizes up to 15m in width and 61m in length resulting in fewer field seams, lower installation time and reduced sensitivity to weather conditions.
Low maintenance: Firestone GeoGard EPDM membranes require little or no regular maintenance after installation. The Geomembrane can survive normal environmental exposure for well over 30 years.
Environmentally friendly: Firestone GeoGard EPDM membranes is an inert material with low environmental impact during production and use. In addition, Firestone’s EPDM manufacturing facilities have received ISO 14001 certification, a testimony of the company’s commitment to environmental management.
